Individual Yoga Tuition


Teaching one-to-one, I can address the particular needs, limitations, and goals of a student with far greater precision than is possible in a group class.


People may choose one-to-one lessons for various reasons: perhaps they cannot get to a class, or they have a particular condition, for example, chronic back pain, which they wish to alleviate through yoga, or they may be seeking guidance and support for their own practice of yoga at home.


One-to-one yoga lessons ensure the appropriate application of yoga regarding the health and personal circumstances of the individual, leading to a personal practice of yoga that will give you confidence that change is possible.


How it works


There will be an initial free half-hour consultation, to meet each other and discuss possibilities, with no obligation to go further. If we agree to work together, we will arrange to do a lesson of about 1 hour, at the end of which I will write down a yoga practice for you to take away and work with.


For it to be effective, students generally commit to practising at home a minimum of 3-4 times a week. The length of the practice will depend on your circumstances and time available but is commonly 20 - 30 minutes. Initially we might meet fortnightly, or more frequently if necessary; then once your practice is established it could be every 4 - 6 weeks. Again, individual sessions are entirely dependent on the particular person's interest and circumstances.


Cost


The initial session will cost £30.00 and subsequent lessons (up to one hour) £25.00.
